Corporate Compliance
Commitment to Ethical Care, Legal Integrity, and Patient Protection
At Diamond Braces, we are committed to delivering the highest standard of orthodontic care in a safe, respectful, and compliant environment. Our Corporate Compliance Program is designed in accordance with federal and state laws—including HIPAA, OIG Compliance Program Guidance, ADA Title III, state civil rights laws, and other applicable healthcare regulations. Our program applies to all team members, including providers, staff, leadership, and third-party contractors. It supports our mission to provide care that is legally sound, ethically delivered, and centered around the needs and rights of every patient.
1. Adherence to Legal and Ethical Standards
All Diamond Braces team members follow a comprehensive Code of Conduct and receive regular training in healthcare compliance, anti-fraud policies, and ethical patient care. Our policies reflect federal expectations under the Office of Inspector General (OIG) guidelines for dental and orthodontic practices.
2. Non-Discrimination and Civil Rights Compliance
Diamond Braces complies with Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and all state civil rights protections. We do not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, or sex. Interpreter services are available upon request.
3. HIPAA and Data Privacy
We rigorously follow the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), including the Privacy Rule and Security Rule, to protect your health information. All team members are trained on HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality policies. Breaches or suspected violations are reported and investigated promptly.
4. Safe Environment and Quality of Care Oversight
Our compliance officers and clinic leaders conduct regular audits, reviews, and internal assessments to ensure adherence to patient safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and applicable dental board standards. Unsafe practices or deviations from protocol are corrected immediately.
5. Whistleblower Protection and Non-Retaliation
Diamond Braces maintains a zero-tolerance policy for retaliation. Employees, providers, and patients may report suspected misconduct anonymously and without fear of reprisal under protections afforded by the False Claims Act, state labor laws, and the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Act.
6. Ongoing Monitoring and Improvement
We routinely update our compliance policies based on regulatory changes, patient feedback, and internal reviews. Our leadership team, including a designated Compliance Officer, is directly involved in oversight and response efforts.
7. Open Communication Channels
We promote a culture of transparency and encourage all concerns to be raised through appropriate channels, including supervisors, compliance liaisons, or our anonymous hotline.
